NROHP is an open-source database of haunted places, experiences, findings, societies, events. NROHP presently contains comprehensive data on over 7,000 Haunts and over 114,900 Historics.
NROHP provides 'paranormal plumbing' that seamlessly interfaces with any website, something like google's 'search this site' feature but with quite a bit more power. NROHP allows for full integration so that the shared database can become your database (in full or in part, for both reading and writing), with the bright idea that shared, interconnected data is considerably more powerful and useful than isolated tidbits, however yummy, stored in myriad different places and formats.
